2011 What Car Used Car Of The Year Awards

It?s that time of the year where you will keep hearing about car awards and charities events. So I wasn?t surprised to see the What Car? Awards results in my monthly car magazine. I like to read my magazine in the evening with my hot mug of tea, as my partner doesn?t get home till early hours of the morning.

Before I read about the What Car? Awards, I wrote down a few of my predictions on a piece of paper, just to make my lonely sad evenings a little bit more exciting. One of the cars in my list was the new Jaguar X-Type in Dorset, it?s my favourite car, and so I always hope it wins the Best Car of the Year Award.

Sadly it didn?t win that award but the Jaguar XF won the Executive and Luxury category in the 2011 What Car Used Car of the Year Awards. The judges called the Jaguar XF a 'seriously desirable and sophisticated car' and I?m not surprised by these comments, as it is a really comfortable yet great looking car.

Andy Whyman, XF Chief Programme Engineer commented: "We worked tirelessly on the development of the XF for its introduction in 2008. Since then, over 38,000 have been sold in the UK and the momentum continues. To be recognised by What Car? means a great deal to the whole XF team and we're delighted to add another award to our ever-growing tally."

The next generation Jaguar XF on sale, it is available in a new 2.2 litre Diesel engine with Stop-Start technology, and it?s a car that I will probably be buying for myself in the near future.
